hey guyz.
so, i hear the blog might be moving to tumblr. i would like you all to know that, even though i don't really post (ever), i want to vote against this. we must stem the rising tide of brevity that the internet tries to convince us is worthwhile. as the days get shorter, and i begin my winter hibernation, i will be here (on the blog) more often and i don't want it to tumbl (ha!) somewhere else.
this doesn't mean i don't love you, willis.
at any rate, i propose a vote in the comments section of this thread. in all fairness, i think that is the only right thing to do.

I just talked about with Dan and Joe. No command action was taken, homie.
Dan, Joe and I all agree that tumblr could be an easier platform. And it isn't limited to just posting pictures or video. You can do longform as well.
But really, look at the last couple of posts. Star Trek, LOLcats, etc... This ain't exactly Harpers Monthly over here.
I vote for switching over. Ive been playing with it today and think it's a lot easier and much more user-friendly for others to read and use. Blogger is an antiquated difficult platform and few people use it.
I'm almost inclined to say that unless you've got more than 5 posts in here, your opinion doesn't matter. Love ya & all jtan, but let's be real.

My feeling fall in line with Willis'. I can't for the life of me understand your guys' aversion to tumblr. It's not that trendy and popular, and this is coming from a guy so cool he doesn't have a facebook.
Why do we need to move again? Blogger has been pretty easy to operate, and John was able to add us all with just an email address. I don't think anyone has had trouble so far posting; just few people have posted.
We've got a pretty good following in Russia; I'd hate to see them left in the permafrost.
So, if what you want is more people to join...just invite them. There's no need to create a Tumblr to do so.
I have no preference either way.
I've never used tumblr so I can't comment on its use. If everybody wants to move, I'm down. If not, I'm down.
Either way, I want everyone to contribute and enjoy!

Why is everyone so anti-tumblr?
It's better than blogger. For sure. Much more social and easy to use.
Do we need to have a blog meeting on Wednesday over beers? Because we've got so much potential here and it's not really coming to fruition. I want fruition DAMN IT!

I think Wednesday is EF practice night, but how's 9 for blog meetings?

Lee, after messing around with Tumblr, I agree with you.
It just adds to the harmful depersonalization of our society.
